Salisbury University's national champions to be honored on Dec. 2
SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University field hockey team went all the way to South Hadley, Mass., to capture the program's fifth national championship title. Now that they have returned home, the Sea Gulls will be recognized on Wednesday for their outstanding performance.
The maroon and gold avenged an early-season loss to Messiah College by defeating the Falcons, 1-0, in the NCAA Division III Field Hockey national championship game on Nov. 22. Salisbury finished its season with a record of 20-1 and a slew of individual player accolades, including two All-American honors.
The Sea Gulls will be honored at halftime of the men's basketball game against Capital Athletic Conference foe Hood College on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Maggs Physical Activities Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
