Beladino and Correll selected to 2009 NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Two Salisbury University senior field hockey student-athletes, Beverly Beladino (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) and Lauren Correll (Bridgeville, Del.), were recently named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game. The game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 22 at Mount Holyoke College at 9:30 a.m.

Beladino has put together another strong season for the Gulls, as she has 26 points on 10 goals and six assists. For her career Beladino has 99 points on 41 goals and 17 assists. Her best season was in 2007, when she scored 16 goals and dished out three assists and was named to the All-Region First Team.

Correll, a two-time All-American, is having another successful season for SU, as she leads the team with 43 points on 18 goals and seven assists. For her career, Correll has 173 points on 76 goals and 21 assists. Her best season was her first in '06, when she collected 47 points on 19 goals and nine assists.

Throughout their careers the two have compiled a record of 66-11. During that time the Sea Gulls have won three Capital Athletic Conference Championships and made three NCAA tournament appearances.

The two Sea Gulls will have familiar company in the All-Star game, as seven student-athletes competing in the all-star game were members of opposing SU teams in '09.
