Sea Gulls to open season Friday, Hood makeup announced
ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The field hockey season opener for No. 2 Salisbury University has moved up a day to Friday, September 5 at 4 p.m. The Sea Gulls will travel to St. Mary's City, Md., to face Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's (Md.) College tomorrow instead of the scheduled date of Saturday, September 6. The game was moved due to the inclement weather expected to hit the region this weekend.
The Sea Gulls were originally expected to begin their season against Hood College on Wednesday, September 3, at 4 p.m. The makeup date for that game has been announced and the Sea Gulls will now host the Blazers on Sunday, October 12, at 2 p.m.
Salisbury's home opener will be next week on Wednesday, September 10, at 6 p.m. The Sea Gulls will host No. 10 Christopher Newport University at Sea Gull Stadium.
