Hancock featured in CAC "Introducing" profile

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference released its weekly student-athlete profile titled "Introducing..." on Thursday. Salisbury University sophomore field hockey midfielder Kandice Hancock became the Sea Gull's first selection of the season. She was chosen to answer nine questions from the CAC involving issues in the classroom, on the athletic field and in the community.

Hancock has been outstanding so far this season for the No. 9 Sea Gulls (10-2, 4-0 CAC). The Westover, Md., native has tallied six goals and three assists on the season. Hancock was honored as the CAC Field Hockey Player of the Week for September 15 after she tallied the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat No. 13 Christopher Newport University, 2-1.

The Sea Gulls prepare for their highly anticipated Homecoming Weekend matchup with No. 2 The College of New Jersey on Saturday, October 18, at 6 p.m. in Sea Gull Stadium. Last season, Salisbury defeated the Lions 3-1 on the road.
