SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University field
hockey is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, April
28 to build a home for a Salisbury resident and her 10-year old
daughter.
The field hockey team will work from 8:30 am to Noon to
construct a two-bedroom house for Sheila Townsend and her daughter,
Patessa.
"The Salisbury community has been great to this University and
our program for many years and this is a great opportunity for us
to give something back," said SU coach Dawn
Chamberlin.
Habitat and the field hockey team is partnering with Lowe's of
Salisbury and Comcast Spotlight to build the first Habitat house in
Wicomico County built and sponsored entirely by women.
