SU field hockey partners with Habitat for Humanity

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University field hockey is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, April 28 to build a home for a Salisbury resident and her 10-year old daughter.

The field hockey team will work from 8:30 am to Noon to construct a two-bedroom house for Sheila Townsend and her daughter, Patessa.

"The Salisbury community has been great to this University and our program for many years and this is a great opportunity for us to give something back," said SU coach Dawn Chamberlin.

Habitat and the field hockey team is partnering with Lowe's of Salisbury and Comcast Spotlight to build the first Habitat house in Wicomico County built and sponsored entirely by women.
