Cleaver named NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week

PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference released its final Player of the Week honors on Sunday morning and Salisbury University freshman wide receiver Hunter Cleaver earned conference recognition as he was named the NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week.

Cleaver made his first collegiate catch on Saturday afternoon against Alfred University in the 2018 Eastern College Athletic Conference Asa S. Bushnell Bowl Game. Cleaver hauled in a pass from quarterback Frank Pipich Jr. and did some nifty footwork along the sideline to get his feet down inbounds and complete the seven yard catch.

Cleaver becomes the second Salisbury rookie to receive offensive rookie honors as Londell Montgomery earned the honor back in September.
