CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Salisbury University football team will be given the opportunity to play one more game in the 2013 season as the Sea Gulls have been selected to play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference's (ECAC) South Atlantic Bowl, the organization announced on Monday morning.
Salisbury will travel to Muhlenberg College in the contest to be played on Saturday, November 23.
It will mark the sixth ECAC Bowl Game appearance, the most recent of which came in 2009, when Salisbury traveled to Lebanon Valley College. With Sunday's selection, Salisbury will compete in the postseason for the 10th-consecutive season, including five NCAA tournament appearances and five ECAC Bowl Game appearances.
Salisbury and Muhlenberg have played just once, that meeting also came in the postseason, in the 2007 NCAA tournament's first round. The Mules took that contest, 31-21, and went on to lose at Wesley College in the second round of the tournament.
Muhlenberg enters Saturday's game riding a six-game winning streak, having finished the regular season with an 8-2 record, going 7-2 in the Centennial Conference.
