SU football announces 2010 team captains
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University
football program recently announced its 2010 team captains in
seniors Warren
Anderson (Vienna, Va.), Ryan
Larcamp (Falls Church, Va.) and Bryan
Woolson (White Hall, Md.) plus junior Randal
Smedley (Frederick, Md.).
Anderson, a slot back, will look to be a leader in the backfield
for the Sea Gulls. SU finished the 2009 season with the nation's
17th best rushing offense at 238.45 yards per game. In 2009,
Anderson played in all 11 games with 216 total yards and three
touchdowns.
Larcamp, a linebacker, returns for his senior season and will
provide experience and leadership to the SU defense. Last season
the Sea Gulls finished fourth in the nation in sacks per game
(3.55) and sixth in tackles for a loss per game (9.36).
Woolson, a slot back, will look to be a key cog in the backfield
for the maroon and gold in 2010. In '09, Woolson took 54 rushing
attempts and totaled 9.7 yards per rush for the Sea Gulls. The
White Hall, Md., native totaled 527 all-purpose yards and scored
five touchdowns.
Smedley, a slot back, will look to be a valuable leader for the Sea
Gulls this fall. The Frederick, Md., native totaled 525 all-purpose
yards and five touchdowns for SU last season. Smedley played in all
11 games and averaged 47.7 all-purpose yards per game.
Salisbury will open its 2010 season at home on Sept. 4 at Sea Gull
Stadium against N.C. Wesleyan at 6 p.m.
