WACO, Texas - The Salisbury
University football team moved up to No. 12 in the last regular
season American Football Coaches Association poll released this
week (November 13) after the Sea Gulls claimed their fourth
straight Regents Cup over Frostburg State University, 35-14, in
Annapolis, Md., last Saturday afternoon.
The Sea Gulls (9-1) are joined by Atlantic Central Football
Conference rival Wesley College as the only two teams in the
conference to be ranked. The Wolverines are No. 6 in the AFCA poll
and No. 6 in the D3football.com poll
The maroon and gold has cracked the top 10 in the D3football.com
poll for the second time this season as the Sea Gulls are ranked
No. 10.
Salisbury earned a Pool B berth into the NCAA Division III
championship and will travel to Allentown, Pa., to take on No. 9
Muhlenberg College in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday,
November 17, at Noon.
