WACO, Texas - The Salisbury University football
team had a week off but still managed to jump two spots to No. 13
in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll after two
teams ranked higher than the Sea Gulls were upset this past
weekend.
Wheaton and Rensselaer were ranked No. 4 and No. 13, respectively,
but dropped 10 and 11 spots to cause the reshuffle in the AFCA
poll.
Salisbury (8-1, 2-1 ACFC) remained at No. 11 in the D3football.com
poll while ACFC foe Wesley is ranked No. 8 in the AFCA poll and No.
7 in the D3football.com poll.
Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, November 10, as it travels
to Annapolis, Md., to take on in-state and conference rival
Frostburg State University in the 9th Annual Regents Cup game which
will be held at the U.S. Naval Academy in Navy-Marine Corps
Memorial Stadium at 2 p.m. This is the last regular-season game for
both teams.
