Sea Gulls fall to No. 15 in AFCA poll

WACO, Texas - The Salisbury University football team dropped to No. 15 in the American Football Coaches Association poll after the Sea Gulls fell to Wesley College in the Route 13 rivalry, 20-13, last Saturday afternoon at Wolverine Stadium in Dover, Del.

Salisbury (8-1, 2-1 ACFC) led for just a few moments in the second quarter after senior Jamar Garner took an option pitch 80 yards for a score to put the maroon and gold up 7-3, but Wesley's Larry Beavers answered the score with a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to give the Wolverines a lead they would not relinquish.

SU also fell to No. 11 in the D3football.com poll while Wesley moved up to No. 9 in the coaches' poll and No. 8 in the D3football.com poll.

The Sea Gulls return to action on November 10 as they face Frostburg State University in the 9th annual Regents Cup game being held at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., at 2 p.m.
