Offensive line back on D3football.com Team of the Week

SALISBURY, Md. - For the second time this season the Salisbury University offensive line was recognized by D3football.com as they garnered a spot on the Team of the Week after the Sea Gulls broke four school records en route to their 79-20 win over Becker.

The Sea Gulls (8-0) set new school records for points in a game (79), rushing yards (596), total yards (617) and rushing touchdowns (10). The points and rushing marks are also new Atlantic Central Football Conference marks.

Tim Hackmann, Jeremy McKinney, Tom Healand, David Preston and Chris Reeves paved the way as the maroon and gold averaged 10.8 yards per rush. The Sea Gulls averaged 11.0 yards per play and the SU O-line didn't allow one sack. SU had two runners surpass 100-yards on the ground led by senior Jamar Garner who had 121 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Ronnie Shockley ran for 106 yards and three touchdowns.

Salisbury was also recognized by D3football.com after they ran for 400 yards against then No. 20 Christopher Newport on September 15. Junior defensive lineman Jarrell Chandler earned Team of the Week honors after SU's season opening win over Albright.

The No. 8 Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, October 27, as they travel to Dover, Del., to face No. 11 Wesley in the Route 13 rivalry at 1 p.m. at Wolverine Stadium.
