SALISBURY, Md. - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats of
the Arena Football 2 League have recently signed former Salisbury
University offensive lineman Jerrod Sample to a
contract for the 2007 season.
Sample, a two-time All-Atlantic Central Football Conference
selection, was a catalyst on an offensive line that opened the
holes for the fourth ranked rushing attack in 2005. The Sea Gulls
rushed for over 330 yards per game and scored a school record 442
points.
The Bishopville, Md., native becomes the second Sea Gull to sign
with an Arena 2 team. Earlier this year, former quarterback Dustin
Johnson signed with the Amarillo Dusters.
The Jungle Kats will make their AF2 debut in ‘07 and are
in tri-ownership by current Cincinnati Bengals defensive linemen
Sam Adams, Cincinnati Reds centerfielder Ken Griffey Jr. and Dr.
Timothy Kremchek.
