Title: Assistant Coach

Nate Israel was a two-year starter at second base for the Sea Gulls from 2000-01 after playing for two seasons at Montgomery-Germantown (Md.) from 1998-99. During his career with the Sea Gulls, Israel was named First-Team All-CAC in 2001 and was a member of the team that went to the 2001 College World Series and finished fourth in the nation.

Israel was an assistant coach for SU from 2002-09 and was responsible for coaching outfielders and batters, as well as serving as a base coach during games. Israel earned his undergraduate degree from SU in physical education in 2002 and went on to pursue and receive a master’s degree from SU in post-secondary education in 2004. Along with coaching, Israel teaches public school physical education in the Wicomico County school system.
