DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference released weekly baseball awards for the week ending April 15. Salisbury University baseball junior infielder Jack Barry earned recognition from the organization being named ECAC Baseball Division III South Player of the Week.
Barry helped lead his team to five straight wins during the week and increase Salisbury's win streak to 13 games. He earns the award after batting .455 with four home runs, nine RBI, and 10 runs scored. Three of his four home runs came against Capital Athletic Conference rival Christopher Newport University in a 17-7 victory.
For the season, Barry is batting .416 with five home runs, 17 RBI and 33 runs scored. He has also made six appearances on the mound for the Sea Gulls, including two starts, and holds a 2-2 record with one save.
Salisbury returns to action on Wednesday, April 18 when it host CAC opponent Marymount (Va.) University. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
