Baseball closes year at No. 18/27

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University baseball team closes the 2016 season ranked in the top 30 in each major poll, landing at No. 18 in the D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association Top 25 and No. 27 in the American Baseball Coaches' Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll, the organizations announced.

The Sea Gulls picked up 133 points in the D3baseball.com poll and 78 points in the ABCA poll.

Salisbury won the program's 13th Capital Athletic Conference championship in 2016 and made its 22nd NCAA tournament appearance, traveling to the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Moosic, Pennsylvania. The Sea Gulls had six players named to the All-CAC team, including junior Tom LaBriola, who was named the league's Player of the Year, and four players named all-region performers.
