MINNEANOPLIS – The Salisbury University baseball team moved to No. 13 in the country in this week's D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 poll, the organization announced.
The Sea Gulls posted a 2-1 week, with wins coming over Washington (Md.) College and Johns Hopkins University to earn 291 points in the poll. Salisbury defeated Washington 22-11 last Tuesday, before taking down Johns Hopkins 9-5 on Thursday.
The top-five teams remained the same, with No. 1 State University of New York at Cortland leading the way with 625 points and all 25 first-place votes. No. 2 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (577 points), No. 3 Emory University (560 points), No. 4 Trinity (Texas) University (534 points), and No. 5 Birmingham-Southern College (502 points) rounded out the top five.
Salisbury hosts Neumann University in a single-game contest on Tuesday, March 8 for its next game; the first pitch is set for 3 p.m.
