Baseball against Virginia Wesleyan postponed

SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 4 Salisbury University baseball team will have to wait a little bit longer to begin its 2016 season, as the inclement weather on Monday and Tuesday has caused the Sea Gulls to postpone their game scheduled for Wednesday, February 17 against Virginia Wesleyan College.

The game on Wednesday was originally rescheduled from a Sunday, February 14 date with the Marlins that was pushed back due to temperatures that did not get above freezing over the weekend.

A makeup date for the game has not yet been determined.

Salisbury will now open its season on Saturday, February 20 at the SU Baseball Field against the State University of New York at Cortland to open a two-game weekend series. The first pitch is set for 1 p.m. The second game of the series is set for Sunday at 12 p.m.
