Sea Gulls sit at No. 5 in both national polls heading into NCAA regional

SALISBURY, Md. – As it prepares for the first round of the NCAA regional tournament, the Salisbury University baseball team holds up the No. 5 spot in both the American Baseball Coaches' Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll and the D3baseball.com poll, the organizations announced.

The Sea Gulls finished the season with a 29-4-1 overall record and were tabbed as the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Mid-Atlantic region of the NCAA tournament.

State University of New York at Cortland, Frostburg State University, and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater remain in the top three spots in both polls. Kean University, who is the top seed in the Mid-Atlantic region, moved into the No. 4 spot in both polls.

Salisbury gets set to take on on fifth-seeded Mitchell College in the first game of the eight-team Mid-Atlantic regional of the 2015 NCAA tournament. The game is set for Wednesday, May 13 at 10 a.m., and will be held at Santander Stadium in York, Pennsylvania.
