Collacchi earns second CAC Pitcher of the Week honor of the season

YORK, Pa. – Senior Brett Collacchi of the No. 5 Salisbury University baseball team picked up his second Capital Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week accolade of the season and the fifth of his career, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Collacchi took the mound as a starter for the ninth time this season on Wednesday, April 23 against Washington (Md.) College. In doing so, the Bear, Delaware native earned his fourth win of the season. The victory also moved Collacchi up to 29 wins in his career, which is second in program history.  

Against the Shoremen, Collacchi pitched eight innings, striking out four batters and allowing just five hits in the contest to lead the Sea Gulls to a 5-2 win.

Salisbury will travel to Aton, Pennsylvania today, Monday, April 27, to compete against Neumann University in a single-game matchup. The first pitch is set for 4 p.m.
