Baseball’s CAC tournament second round matchup against Mary Washington postponed

FROSTBURG, Md. – Due to rainfall in the Frostburg, Maryland area, the Salisbury University baseball team's Capital Athletic Conference tournament second round matchup against the University of Mary Washington has been postponed.

The game was scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 but has been shifted to Friday, April 17. The first pitch for the game is now set for 12:30 p.m.

Salisbury, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, enters Friday's game after earning a 5-4 comeback win in extra innings over Wesley College on Wednesday in the first round of the CAC tournament.

Mary Washington captured the third seed and defeated Marymount (Va.) University in the first round on Wednesday, notching a 12-7 comeback victory of its own.

The winner of Friday's game will take on No. 1 seed Frostburg State University at 4 p.m. on Friday, and the loser will compete against sixth-seeded Christopher Newport University on Saturday, April 18 at 9 a.m.
