SALISBURY, Md. – After going 3-2 on the week, the Salisbury University baseball team landed at No. 3 in the D3baseball.com poll and No. 4 in the American Baseball Coaches' Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll, the organizations announced.
The Sea Gulls (21-2, 16-2 CAC) earned a doubleheader sweep over St. Mary's College of Maryland and notched a single-game victory over Marymount (Va.) University last week before falling to then-No. 6 Frostburg State University in a pair of games.
The State University of New York at Cortland and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater sit at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in both polls, respectively, while Kean University holds up fifth in the nation in both polls.
Capital Athletic Conference opponent Frostburg joined Salisbury in the top five in both polls, moving to the No. 4 spot in D3baseball.com's poll and taking third in the ABCA poll.
Salisbury gets set to host Wesley College on Wednesday in the first round of the CAC tournament at the SU Baseball Field. The first pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
