DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards, and senior Kyle Hayman of the Salisbury University baseball team was honored as the Sea Gulls' first ECAC NCAA Division III South Player of the Week.
Hayman is coming off a strong week of play, helping the undefeated Gulls notch wins over Marymount (Va.) University and Gallaudet University.
In the two games, the Wilmington, Delaware native combined for five RBIs, seven runs scored, and four extra-base hits, including two triples, a double and a home run.
Hayman concluded the week with a .700 batting average and a 1.500 slugging percentage.
On the season, Hayman has recorded a .487 batting average and leads the team in triples with three. The center fielder is also fourth on the squad in hits with 19 and second on the team in stolen bases with five on the year.
Salisbury will get set to travel to take on Christopher Newport University on Thursday, April 2 in a Capital Athletic Conference matchup. The first pitch is set for 3 p.m.
