YORK, Pa. – Senior Kyle Hayman of the No. 3 Salisbury University baseball team earned his first Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week award of the season, the league announced.
Hayman was a key factor in the Salisbury's 2-0 week, helping the team notch wins over Marymount (Va.) University and Gallaudet University.
The center fielder went 4-for-5 against the Saints on Wednesday, March 25, scoring three runs, blasting a home run, and tallying two doubles. Hayman also batted in three runs and recorded a stolen base in the 16-12 victory over Marymount.
The Wilmington, Delaware native came out firing against Gallaudet on Sunday, March 29, as he went 3-for-5 with two triples and four runs on the afternoon to help the Gulls take down the Bison, 16-1.
Hayman concluded the strong week with a .700 batting average and a 1.500 slugging percentage.
The Sea Gulls will travel up route 13 to take on Wesley College in a CAC matchup on Tuesday. The first pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
