MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The American Baseball Coaches Association announced its All-Region selections and four players were honored for play during the 2014 season, and Head Coach Doug Fleetwood was named the Coach of the Year for the South Region.
With Monday's win against No. 20 Case Western Reserve University to advance to the College World Series, Collacchi improved his record to 12-1 with a 2.48 ERA. His 12 wins tie for the most in a single season by a Sea Gull hurler, matching the mark set by Brian Brushe in 1977. The Bear, Del., native has worked 90 2/3 innings and has struck out a team-high 58 batters.
Hayman has been the catalyst for the Sea Gull offense, leading the team with a .425 average this season, which is the ninth-best average by a Sea Gull in program history. The Wilmington, Del., product has scored a team-high 55 runs and leads the squad with 28 stolen bases. Each of those totals rank Hayman in the top 30 among Division III players.
Schiotis is sixth on the team with a .345 average and is fifth on the team with 33 RBIs. The Levittown, Pa., native has scored 32 runs this season and has stolen 10 bases.
Against Case Western Reserve on Monday, Hamby earned his ninth save of the season and 12th in his career, which puts him at No. 1 on the Sea Gulls' all-time leaderboard. The Laurel, Md., native has worked 24 2/3 innings and has struck out 23 batters. Along with his saves, the righty has earned three wins as well.
Fleetwood has led the Sea Gulls to a 37-7 record so far this season, with the team advancing to its fourth appearance in the College World Series. The Sea Gulls finished the season with an 11-5 record in the conference, but went on to win the Capital Athletic Conference tournament for an automatic bid in the NCAA tournament. For his career, Fleetwood is 476-145-6 in 14 seasons at Salisbury. He has guided his teams to the NCAA tournament in each season at the helm and has captured 10 CAC championships.

The Sea Gulls will open play in the College World Series today, Friday, May 23, taking on No. 5 State University of New York at Cortland. That contest is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., eastern time, in Appleton, Wis.
