SU ranked No. 10 in final D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 media poll

MINNEAPOLIS - The final D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 media poll of the season was released recently and Salisbury University dropped from No. 2 to No. 10 as the Sea Gulls collected 329 points. The Gulls are ranked No. 11 in the final American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III poll.

NCAA Division III National Champion University of St. Thomas (41-13) amassed all 25 first-place votes and 625 points. The College of Wooster (43-11), a national finalist, is ranked No. 2 as the Scots collected 600 points. Carthage College (38-9) finished the season No. 3 as the Red Men received 571 points. The Panthers of Chapman University (32-17) garnered 519 points and are ranked fourth. Kean University (39-11) rounds out the top five as the Cougars collected 508 points.

The Sea Gulls bring back a strong core for the 2010 season which includes 2009 All-Americans Mike Celenza and Andrew Miller. The squad returns six-of-nine starters to the lineup and several prominent pitchers who shined in 09.
