Feigl pitches Salisbury past Medaille

COCOA, Fla. - The No. 20 Salisbury University baseball team kicked off its Spring Break trip with a 14-1 victory over Medaille College on Monday morning at the Cocoa Expo in Florida.

The Sea Gulls scored 14 runs on 15 hits as senior third baseman Justin Armiger led the way with four hits and four RBIs. Junior Jordan Crystal had three hits and freshman Will Evans added two hits and two RBIs. Junior second baseman Randy Boyle had two RBIs on one hit while sophomores Mike Celenza and Matt O'Keefe and freshman Andrew Miller had a RBI each in the win.

Junior Jeff Feigl (2-0) earned the win as he pitched seven scoreless innings for the Sea Gulls. He allowed five hits and struck out three. Freshmen Drew Baldwin and Kyle Judson each pitched an inning of relief for SU. Judson struck out the side in the ninth.

The Sea Gulls have won 12 games in a row since it dropped the season-opener to Virginia Wesleyan College on February 9. The Mavs, who began their season this past weekend, are now 2-2.

Salisbury will next face Pennsylvania College of Technology on Tuesday, March 18, at 9 a.m.
