Second Salisbury Survivor 5K Challenge to benefit Special Olympics set for April

SALISBURY, Md. – On the heels of the success of the first Salisbury Survivor 5K Challenge, the Salisbury University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has announced the second annual event, which will be held on Sunday, April 14.

The race is not your average 5K, as participants will need to prepare themselves for tough obstacles and physical challenges throughout the course.

The event, which will benefit the Lower Shore Special Olympics, is open to the campus and community members alike. The race will begin at 9 a.m., on East Campus at the Track & Field Complex.

Registration is $10 for Salisbury students, faculty and staff and $20 for community members. Race packets can be picked up on April 13 between 4 and 6 p.m. at Maggs Physical Activities Center, or on the morning of the race, beginning at 7:30.
