Full field of golfers participate in 26th annual SU Golf Classic
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A full
field of golfers participated in the 26th annual Salisbury
University Golf Classic on Wednesday, May 5, at River Marsh Golf
Club at the Hyatt Regency. The event was a fun-filled, competitive
event that fulfilled its ultimate goal, to provide scholarships for
SU.
"We had a terrific turnout by our sponsors and teams who understand
the importance of this tournament and how it benefits our students
and campus programs," said SU Director of Leadership Giving and
Stewardship Amy Waters. "The event featured
familiar faces as most of the participants have played in years
past, and we did see six new teams participate in the event."
The event featured great weather throughout as a nice breeze
played out over the golf course on Wednesday.
The 32 teams competed for prizes and bragging rights as the day
focused on the future for SU. Funds raised will help future Sea
Gull students benefit from college scholarships and other
programs.
The foursome from Dennis Sales of Galen Gardner, Ed McGuire, Phil
Insley and Eric Davis won the team gross award with a score of
56 this year. The team net score winner went to the foursome from
