Salisbury University Golf Classic to celebrate 25th Anniversary on May 4

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University Golf Classic will celebrate its 25th anniversary at Green Hill Yacht & Country Club in Quantico, Md., on Monday, May 4. This year's event features a full field of teams, a silent auction and great fellowship as funds raised benefit SU students through scholarships and programs.

"We are excited to be celebrating the SU Golf Classic 25th Anniversary at Green Hill Yacht & Country Club," said SU Director of Leadership Giving and Stewardship Amy Waters. "Last year was such a great success as we received over $25,000 to go towards academic scholarships and other campus programs."

The Mason Companies is a proud sponsor of this year's SU Golf Classic as the Gold Sponsor. The other sponsors of the classic are Black Diamond Lodge, Holder Construction, Robinson's Jewelry & Clock Holloway Funeral Home, Smith Barney-The Hill Group, Temco Builders, Inc. and The Daily Times.

The day will begin with registration and lunch sponsored by Holder Construction. After lunch and opening remarks, the Golf Classic gets underway with a shotgun start at Noon. On the course players will have an opportunity to win a Jeep at the fourth hole as Sherwood of Salisbury sponsors a hole-in-one contest. In the evening the teams will enjoy a dinner reception sponsored by The Mason Companies and catered by Black Diamond Lodge followed by awards. Teams and players will be presented with gifts and prizes sponsored by Robinson's Jewelry & Clock for best net and gross score. Awards will also be given out for longest drive and closest to the pin.

There is a silent auction throughout the day as participants can bid on items such as golf outings, major league baseball game tickets, a parasailing package, fine jewelry and gift certificates to name a few. In the evening the auction will wrap-up during dinner and the awards ceremony.
