Varsity Club Reception and Coaches' Luncheon Updates for March

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University Varsity Club, the official athletic fundraising and support arm of Sea Gull athletics,  has postponed its baseball and softball reception for Saturday, March 22, due to expected poor weather conditions. There is not a make-up date at this time.

The Varsity Club would like to encourage members and fans of SU Athletics to come out to next week's Coaches' Luncheon at The Commons on Thursday, March 27, at Noon in the Caroline Room. SU lacrosse coaches Jim Berkman and Jim Nestor will be on hand to preview their big upcoming No. 1 vs. No. 2 games. The cost of the lunch is $7.09.

A reminder to Varsity Club members and the public that the grand opening of the new Varsity Club House will be Saturday, March 29, at 1 p.m. The new Varsity Club House is located at the corner of Power St. and South Division St. (103 Power St.). Please stop by to socialize and enjoy some light refreshments. Only a short walk away from the Varsity Club House is Sea Gull Stadium. At 2 p.m. the No. 2 Salisbury University women's lacrosse team hosts No. 1 Franklin & Marshall College in a rematch of last year's NCAA Division III national championship game. Come out and cheer on your Sea Gulls as they seek to pull the upset! Admission is free to this game.

The Varsity Club closes out the weekend with a men's and women's tennis reception on Sunday, March 30, over at the SU Outdoor Tennis Courts located off of College Avenue behind Holloway Hall. The tennis matches get underway at Noon.
