Shenandoah scores seven runs in 8th inning to win South
Regional
SALISBURY, Md. - It took three hours for the No.
27 Shenandoah University baseball team to take the lead against
Johns Hopkins University on Saturday evening at Arthur W. Perdue
Stadium but the wait was well worth it. The Hornets stung the Blue
Jays for seven runs in the eighth inning as SU rallied to win the
NCAA Division III South Regional with an 11-7 victory. Shenandoah
outfielder Kevin Brashears was named the Most Outstanding
Player as he went 5-for-5, three runs and three RBIs including a
home run in the championship game. Shenandoah will make its
first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship.
