What is the Maroon & Gold Club?

The Maroon & Gold Club is a group of alumni, parents, corporations, and friends of Salisbury University athletics. The purpose of the Maroon & Gold Club is to support the University's intercollegiate athletic program. The primary focus of that support is fundraising through membership and special events for the enhancement of the athletic program. While providing this support, NCAA, athletic conference, and University regulations will be followed.

Salisbury University Sea Gull Athletics

Twenty of the University's teams compete in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). Football is the only sport not affiliated with the CAC. Football is a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). The Capital Athletic Conference was formed in 1989, with the Sea Gulls joining in 1993. The CAC is a coalition of four-year, co-educational institutions with similar educational and athletic philosophies. The conference strives to develop a spirit of competitive sportsmanship, fellowship, and uniformity of practice among its members. CAC institutions are required to operate their intercollegiate athletic programs under the highest ethical standards and to maintain a program consistent with the overall educational philosophy of the member institution. In addition to Salisbury University, the other CAC members are: Christopher Newport University, Frostburg State University, University of Mary Washington, Marymount University, Penn State Harrisburg, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Southern Virginia University, Wesley College, York College of Pennsylvania, New Jersey City University, and William Paterson University.
