The junior midfielder scored the winning goal in Salisbury’s 7-6 victory over Hamilton College in the NCAA division III National Championship game on Sunday. The Phoenix, Md., product received a pass from teammate Beth Rhodey, and quickly shot the ball into the top right corner of the goal with just 5:56 remaining on the clock. The goal was the last of the contest, and named the Sea Gulls the National Champions, a first for the Women’s lacrosse program. McCausland was named the NCAA All-Tournament Most Outstanding Player for her efforts.
