Salisbury University Hall of Fame Class of 2009 announced

Four former student-athletes and the founder of the athletic training education program will be enshrined into the Salisbury University Hall of Fame on Friday, October 23, as part of Homecoming 2009. (+)

Celenza named NCBWA South Region Position Player of the Year

The awards continue to pour in for Salisbury University junior first baseman Mike Celenza as he was recently named the Division III NCBWA South Region Position Player of the Year. (+)

Salisbury places 137 student-athletes on 2008-09 CAC All-Academic Team

The CAC announced that 921 student-athletes from the nine full-member institutions competing in 19 championship sports were named to the 2008-09 All-Academic Team. (+)

Sea Gulls of the Week

Stacey Krebs
The senior was named 2008-09 Salisbury University Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Krebs is a two-time All-American where she lettered four times during her career at SU. The Eldersburg, Md., native amassed a team-high 400 kills for the season and 328 digs in 2008. Krebs recently graduated from SU with a degree in Physical Education with a 3.83 grade point average. Krebs was named to the CoSIDA All-District second team for her work in the classroom and on the court.
 Eric Willey
The senior was named 2008-09 Salisbury University Male Scholar Athlete of the Year. The two-time ABCA All-American is a four-year letterwinner. The Cambridge, Md., native had a standout senior season for the No. 11 Sea Gulls as he posted a record of 10-3 with a 2.45 ERA. Willey was named a CoSIDA second-team All-American in '09 for his work in the classroom and on the field. Willey recently graduated from SU with a degree in Business Management and finished with a 3.69 grade point average.
