Softball Field
The SU softball field is home to the Salisbury University Sea
Gulls. The field is nestled behind rows of pine trees at the
corner of Bateman Street and South Division Street. The softball
field features an enclosed and heated press box, a sound system and
a new electronic scoreboard.
The Sea Gulls call the third base dugout their home while the
visitors stay in the first base dugout. There are bleachers located
behind home plate and one down the right field line for fans.
Over the years the Sea Gulls have hosted numerous Capital
Athletic Conference championships and NCAA tournament games. Last
season, the Sea Gulls celebrated two program milestones on their
home field. On April 21, 2007, SU coach Margie Knight recorded her
400th career win at Salisbury. Four days later, the Sea Gulls
retired the jersey of All-American Lacey Lister.
Salisbury also plays some games at the Henry S. Parker Complex on
the north end of town. The field is located off of Naylor Mill Road
in Salisbury. Phone: 410.548.4900. The outdoor athletic facility
features four professional softball fields and a full-service
concession stand.
