Sea Gull Stadium

Sea Gull Stadium is home to the SU field hockey, football, men's and women's lacrosse teams. The stadium received a new playing surface in the summer of 2007 when A-Turf replaced the grass field. Along with a new surface, lights were installed in the fall.

The football team palyed the first game on the tnew field on Sept. 1, 2007, defeating Albright College, 42-0. The following day, the field hockey team made its official debut in the stadium with a 5-1 victory over Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's (Md.) College. The first night game occured on Oct. 9, 2007 as the field hockey team defeated Hood College, 11-0.

The new playing surface allows the men's and women's soccer programs to play game their games in the stadium when there are poor playing conditions at the SU Soccer Complex.

The stadium opened in 1980 and has a seating capacity for 2,500 spectators.

Over the years, the stadium has hosted countless CAC championship games and NCAA men's lacrosse and football games, including the 1991 NCAA Division III national championship game. in lacrosse The stadium has hosted seven postseason football games, including 2011 NCAA Football Championships First and Second Rounds.
