Salisbury University National Champions

The defining achievement for any student-athlete is being named a national champion. Salisbury University is recognized as one of the most competitive intercollegiate athletics programs in the country and has celebrated 14 Division III Team National Championships in just over two decades dating from 1986 to today.

Most recently, the Sea Gulls won the 2010 NCAA Division III women's lacrosse championship in Gettysburg, Pa. on May 23, 2010. Salisbury defeated Hamilton College, 7-6, to claim the program's first national title.

The other national championship programs are SU field hockey and men's lacrosse.

Salisbury University has had its share of individual national champions as well. From 1978 through today, the Sea Gulls have boasted 10 individual champions, five in the no longer existing wrestling program and five in the track & field program.
