Salisbury University National Champions

The defining achievement for any student-athlete is being named a national champion. Salisbury University is recognized as one of the most competitive intercollegiate athletics programs in the country and has celebrated 12 Division III National Championships over the past three decades dating from 1986 to today.

Most recently, the Sea Gulls won the 2008 NCAA Division III men's lacrosse championship in Foxborough, Mass. on Memorial Day Weekend before a NCAA record crowd of 24,317 at Gillette Stadium. Salisbury defeated SUNY Cortland, 19-13, to claim its fifth national title in six seasons.

The other national championship program is SU field hockey. The Sea Gulls are the only Division III team to win three consecutive national titles.
